Welcome to the Springs Church Podcast. We are so glad you joined us. Our mission is to reach the lost by raising up fully trained disciples that are empowered by God to impact their world. We pray that you are challenged and encouraged as you listen to this week's message.
SPEAKER_01Praise God. A sense of God's presence is here in the first service. Thank you, Pastor Ron and Sarah. We've just grown to love you. And I I mean everywhere we go, we pray for you. We remember you in prayers. In your team, in your church. It's such a welcome here, such a privilege to preach. I I I never 35 years over three decades of preaching. I just wasn't a candidate for this. I just can't believe I get to do this. It's so such an honor. I remember the first time I preached, I was preaching in a teen challenge chapel to 12 people. I remember my notes. I was like this walking into the chapel with my notes. My first sermon, and you know, I dropped the pages and I never numbered them. And and I preached I preached the end of the sermon, the middle, the beginning, and the end again. I remember going up to the room and kneeling down and going, just an incredible feeling. I honestly don't feel any less. I don't feel any more able in the sense of obviously 35 years' experience, but I just think God only you can do that. You never came to hear me or a sermon. I know you never want to hear me. You came to encounter touch, worship, praise, remember a manifestation of him who is worthy. And nobody glorifies him like the Holy Spirit, nobody can reveal him like the Holy Spirit, and when you first meet him and you get that glance of him, and you realize that he's the living God, he's alive, and he's alive forevermore. And the same Christ that walked the shores of Galilee is in his church today. The one who was buried in the tomb, who rose up, is here today. And he wants to still minister. You are the apple of his eye. He does love us, he does want to speak, he's not playing hide and seek, he's not hiding, and then when you get in a panic, you think, Where are you, God? Where are you when I need you most? I mean, when I played hide and seek with my son, I mean, I never took it serious, I never put on camouflages, and I thought, hope in a few days' time you find me. Imagine a child, how imagine the panic it would come into a child if he couldn't find his father, even in that game. I used to leave my leg out so he would find me. And God said, If you seek me, wow. If you seek me, you will find me. I have a heart, I want to manifest myself to you. I want to pull back the curtain, I want to have fellowship with you. I want you to come in and dine with me, the Father, and the Holy Spirit. I want to be with you, and I hope that you want to be with me. That's the kind of God that we're serving this morning. I want to preach to you this morning from Isaiah chapter 59, 19. The title of my sermon is You Raise Me Up. Can you say that with me after three? One, two, three, you raise me up. Yeah, Pastor Owen says one, two, three, so I'm saying it too. I got it off him. In fact, I'm gonna say one, two, three, four, in case people think I'm copying them. You raise me up, amen. Isaiah 59, 19 says this so shall they fear the name of the Lord from the west and his glory from the rising of the sun. And this is the battle when he preached for when the enemy comes in like a flood, the spirit of God will rise up a standard against him. And in the original Hebrews, it says this when the enemy comes in, God will come in like a flood, and the spirit of the Lord will rise up a standard against him. In Isaiah 59, in those days in Israel, there was um moral decay, there was political turmoil like in our nations today. Thank God for good men and good politicians and good leaders, but we are living in so complex ages. Men are grappling with the pain and the suffering and the injustice that is in our world today. There is a moral decay. When the enemy comes in like a flood, there is death in the nations. People are experiencing death. Materialism is not making people happy, full bank accounts, cars, and houses. Thank God for God's blessing. But they are finding the more I've got, the emptier I feel. Thank God for doctors and psychiatrists and counselors. You know, I I've spoke to them all. I couldn't help any of them. So I've been there, but there's some things in this day and age, and the moral the moral collapse all through Europe and America and the nations. There is a tension of fear and anxiety and perplexity that I believe that only God can fix. We need a revival. We need the Holy Spirit. We need a powerful move of God in my own life, in my family's life. We're going to start from Jerusalem and Judea, but we're going to start in my own heart and my family and my church and my nation and so on. It starts from the inside out. It's a personal revival, consecration. Laying down those sins that we know we shouldn't be doing, putting down that gossiping tongue, laying down that thing that I'm watching. God, by your grace and your mercy, give me power to overcome those things that are robbing me of your presence and of your power. God, I need your spirit to come in again and raise a standard within me. Give me the power to say no to everything that's ungodly. Let my light shine in this dark world where there's death. Let my words bring life. Let me touch this broken world. Use my life for your glory. Let my life mean something before you take me home. Let my life be a picture of hope to other people in the midst of this world. And I'm telling you, friends, it's not all well beyond these doors. There is a devil who comes to kill, steal, destroy. The Bible says he's an accuser of the brethren. He's no joke, he's defeated, but he's still moving about. There's a demonic avalanche destroying our young people of who they are and their identity. There are people taking drugs to find spiritual experiences. People are broken and don't know where to go. You think this is a dark picture you're painting? Because I do traveling, I see it in other nations. I see people that are brothers and sisters all over the world, by the way, who have lost their homes. People have lost their children. They've lost everything just for saying yes to Jesus Christ. But the good news is from Genesis to Revelation, when the enemy comes in, the Bible says that God will raise up a standard. Hallelujah. Moral decay. There's no power in the arm of men. Thank God for politicians, thank God for good leaders, but they will not have the answer to some of these complex issues. The problem is where it's always been. And he said, I am not gonna let these people just die. I'm gonna do something about it. There's no human deliverance, there's no hand of men, there's no technology, all the technology in the world, and they still can't heal the broken-hearted. All the technology in the world, and you're in a room with a hundred people and you still feel lonely. All the technology in the world, and the doctor said, I'm sorry we can do nothing for you. But there's a gummud and a sperm that can raise up a standard with gumma humble, impossible. And that's not just some foam triumphant, you know, it's preaching. Just quote the scripture and magic God will come number. Absolutely number. There's nothing but grace and mercy and the kindness of God that He can heal, He can break things, He can break addiction, He can make the prostitute feel like a woman again, He can heal homes, He can restore marriages. He's the government who's able to command when the enemy comes in like a flood, God will come in like a flood and rise up and standard. Hallelujah! We're living in the last of the last days, and the Bible says that the love of many will grow cold. And I'm thinking, well, God, that won't be me. I honestly have a fear in my heart. I have a fear to say it won't be me. I don't think it will. I think I love him with all my heart. I know nothing in my own conscience against men or against God. I know no bitterness or unforgiveness or fears or anxiety. I know nothing in my own conscience unless God shows me that I'm not right with God because of Jesus Christ in the blood. And I said, God, don't let me be there. If the last days are here and the storm's coming, it's going to boggle the world's mind what we're going to see. It will boggle your mind. Some of the things we're seeing now, some of the older people here, you would never have imagined what your eyes are seeing on the streets right now. You would never have imagined it in a million years. 50 years ago, if a woman got raped, it would be front page news. It says now somebody got raped, somebody got shot, somebody got stabbed, and people flick over to the paper to see who scored how many goals in a football game because our conscience has become smeared in the day and age we live in. I don't ever want to get used to a drunk lying on a bench or an addict putting a needle in her arm. I do not want to get used to that world. I want to feel the heart of God for it. I want to feel this love, like Paul had he said, the love of God constrains me. I can't get to sleep at night. I'm praying for the church. I'm praying she'll make it. And all through the years, when there's a moral collapse in the nations. All through the years when the church has lost her passion, lost her first love, and the enemy comes in and tries to corrode your faith. This is what he said. I will build my church. Thank God it's not us, it's building the church. But he said, I will build my church. I've been about for 35 years and I've been to conferences, and they're good conferences, we're good men, and I'm not saying anything bad about it because it's helpful. It's called church conference on how to build a church, and I'm thinking, this is going to be very interesting. What on earth are you gonna say? Well, let me tell you what we've done. Really? When the enemy comes in like a flood. Oh boy, when he comes in. An absolute I weakened and I cry and I blow finished when the enemy comes in. My goodness. And fear how she went. Any church. It will go under. I don't care how excellent it is. I don't care how big the church is or what it is. I'm telling you, it cannot. I will build my church. And here's the church that stands. The one that Jesus Christ is building, that's the one that will say, put its hand up and go, for my family, for them and the nation of America, for Scotland and for Ireland, the church that's he's building the gates of hell will not prevail against me or my family or my church. He that is in us is greater than he that's in the world. Can somebody shout amen? Some of you just have come in and the floods up to your neck. It's right up there, nobody can see that. It's up to them in debt. You never meant it. You just thought, we'll just do this, we'll just do that, and now you're up to there, and you think, God, I'm up to my neck in debt, and nobody knows that. They can see the success on the outside, but we're going down, and God says, Don't panic, I'm gonna get you. I'm up to their grief, I'm up to their anxiety, I'm up to there. My marriage is on the heads, I'm up to there, the prodigal sons and daughters who are out there. I don't even know where they are tonight. The enemy is coming, and he's prevailing. Death will come when we change entertainment for conviction and programs for presence. But in the midst of this, and outside those doors, thousands of young men befoot fathers, thousands of young girls befoot fathers, even befoot mothers and care homes and orphanages all over our world because the enemy came to destroy the family that God has created. He came in like a flood. People who thought they would walk down the Nile for the rest of their life to death doers part and are now divorced and can't believe it. And there's no condemnation, even if you've been divorced. I'm here to tell you the enemy came in like a flood, but God can restore, and you can start up, and you can start a fresh with Jesus Christ and know his forgiveness. You're not a second-class citizen if you're falling, he will raise you up again. You raise me up. One, two, three, four. Can you say it again? You raise me when the enemy comes in, like a flood. When the enemy comes in, then God will raise up a standard against them. Remember the time in Ezekiel 37, 11. Remember that time, the story of the dry bones, Son of Man? These bones are the whole house of Israel. In other words, it's a whole nation. A whole nation. Think it think it America. I tell you, God can sweep through it. You're just about to celebrate 250 years. I mean, you're 250 years old. I can't believe I mean what a country. Amen, sister. What a country. How many missionaries have you sent? How many orphanages is this country about? How many pastors and leaders and sending people on missions, sending people to Ireland and paying for those who don't get it? How many has God, when He touched this nation, He buffed this nation? How many people all over the world have been blessed because God blessed this nation? Now, listen, like any other country, it's not perfect. These bones are the whole house of Israel, a whole nation. We need to be honest where we are. God, there's bits of me that are dead, there are bits of me that need revived again. And he said, Can these bones live? And know what he said. He never went, Yeah, of course, Lord. He went, God, you know. And he found a man who believed that God could revive a nation. He found a man to put his spirit in and speak the prophetic voice. That the nation and their young people who are being ruvished by an enemy, that there's a gumball who sits on top of the flood, who sits on top of the storm, that there's a gospel and the love so high, so wide, so deep that God can move through the nation and bring God back to your schools again, back to your colleges. Hallelujah. Bum-bag bum-big bum-bags, revivals again, breathe among the bones of the dead, breathe again your Holy Spirit and the church, breathe the gifts of the spirit, let it be healing evangelists and prophetic preachers and the power of God. God will come to me with you. God, raise me up. Ephesians 2, verse 1 says, He made us alive again who were dead. He made us alive. I had no power to pick myself up, I had no power to set myself free. I still have no power. It's he that is in us, it's the voice of God, it's the word of God, it's powerful, it's active. I'm telling you, I'm not here, I don't want to tickle your ears and give you a next word. If you get convicted by the Holy Spirit this morning, repent, get to the altar, and get filled afresh with the standard of God and let God arise and your enemies be scattered. Remember Ezekiel 37. Listen to what he said. He said to these bones, verse 9, and he also said to me, Prophesy, prophesy, son of man, and say to them, to the breath, this says the Lord God, come from the four winds, breathe, and breathe on us the slain, that they may live. In other words, a fresh touch from God. Listen to this, Ephesians 2, 4 and 5. But God, who is rich in mercy, because of his great love, which he loved us, even when we were dead, we were dead. He made us alive together again in Christ. Hallelujah. I'm going to read this out and then I'm going to start preaching again for a minute. Ezekiel 47, verse 9. And it shall be that every living thing that moves where the river goes will live. There will be a great multitude of fish because the waters go there, for they will be healed, and everything will live, and there every everything will live where the river goes. This is Ezekiel, and the water came from the freshened floor of the temple, and it was flown from the temple. And it's amazing, it flowed from the side where there was a sacrifice. God sent his son Jesus Christ. And when the enemy came in, he lifted up a standard. He raised him up. And the Spirit of God moved over the earth like a total flood. And here's the good news for you and me this morning. In John 7, 37 and 39. On the last day, the great day of the feast, Jesus stood up and cried out, If any man thirsty, let him come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as the scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water. But this he spoke concerning the Spirit. Here's the good news. That river, that standard, that power, that overcoming life, when the enemy comes in with his lies, when he comes in to bring anxiety, and you're up to your neck in the flood. When he comes in and you get a bad health report, and you're sitting with children, and you think, Goodness God, look what's gonna happen when fear groups. Up to your heart. And I'll tell you another thing, you can be up to there, you can be up to your neck in apathy, you can be up to your neck in indifference, you can grieve the spirit, you can resist the spirit, you can quench the spirit, or you can lift your hand to saying, God, without you we can do nothing. Breathe afresh on me, God, breathe afresh on me. Here's the good news the river now lives in you. Hallelujah. Let God arise and your enemies be scattered. And Ezekiel said he prophesied and they stood to their feet. You imagine a whole day. How much faith did those bones have? How much faith did they have? Oh, they would have loved to have said we pulled our boots up, we got ourselves up. It was amazing. The enemy thought he had it. But I just got my strength up. Three decades I've been preaching. I've been battered, I've been bruised. I've been, I've been, I've been, I've been, I've been, I've been. But it wasn't boo-hoo at the time. I've been broken. I remember driving up a country lane and saying to God, you've got the wrong man. I'm not strong enough. I'm nothing like him. I'm fighting off bitterness and unforgiveness, and I'm fighting this. And you know what? I got stronger. And I came through it. And then I got strong again. And every storm and everything, I got stronger and stronger and stronger. And I got to the point where I was too strong for God to use. I made it through the night. Mr. Flesh, well done, Jay. I thought they had you. Come on, brothers, we can fight it, we can get over this, we can do that. I'm telling you, you will go down. Like a bag of sand on top of sand. He doesn't want your strength. And God said to me, Jay, I allowed floods and brokenness and I allowed things to happen. It wasn't meant to make you stronger. It was meant to bring you a place of total dependency on me. I was able to love my enemy. I couldn't believe it. I was able to forgive. Every fiery dark that landed in me, I was like, I was like, no, the poison started to come out of me. And this life from my my feet up and came up, this rising up. This is I got I even got a love. It was supernatural. I was like, I'm free. I'm free. I still felt pain. I still cried, I still risked, but I was free. I was like, praise the Lord. It was both. Does anybody know what I mean? You're crying, but there's there's a sense of victory. That's why you're called more than more than a conqueror. Because Jesus got the victory, and all the spoils of warfare, all my victory, all the spoils, all the riches, all the promises, all the inheritance. I'm gonna give you something. Imagine somebody giving you a million pounds and somebody standing at the bank saying, I'm not letting you in, you're not getting you'd fight the men. Oh, you'd fight the men. And when the devil here's your inheritance, every promise, every promise, every promise, and your inheritance when it comes down like a flood, rise up your flood, rise up your bag, a gimmick. You can crush me the money, you can fire the me, but there's a life in me that won't know the money, and for two thousand years the men in me and twenty twenty church of me, but twenty twenty seven. There's world has two nine captains move to the communist land. There's churches in every nation, every time the sun rises in death, there's a church on fire for government, you can put out the church that he said, he will bow. Hallelujah! Hallelujah. Acts one four fishermen, fishermen, tax collectors, the fishermen I can handle. Tax collectors, the nobodies of the day, Mary Magdalene, a prostitute, a hundred and twenty in an upper room, bunch of vagabonds. You wouldn't even pick them, you wouldn't put them on the team, honestly. First your main doubt and Thomas, he's full of doubt, Peter denied him, John's mystical. You got the sons of thunder who want to put fire on everybody and burn them up. What a bunch he had, what he had to deal with, but they were in a room, and the enemy came in like a flood, and he said, Go in that room, and this is what he said, and I say this to you today with all my heart. I plead with you from the heart of a father. Don't preach without. Don't pray without. Don't move without. Chains will fall off. The demonic will come out of people. The power of God will move in my church, but don't come out until he comes in. I plead with you. You started off in the spirit. Be careful. Many did. But in the last days, when I come back, will I find faith? Will my spirit still be in my church and says, God, we believe you. That no matter how dead I feel, no matter how backslidden I am, no matter how much pain I am, no matter how much the enemy comes in like a flood, I believe the spirit of enemy is greater than he that is in the world. I'm not coming in until he comes in. Hallelujah. I'm telling you, you go to Bible college. I've got the certificate. I'm a reverend. I've been ordained, I've stood up, I've had the human, I've had the given, and it's nothing if I don't win this morning. And give me a word. Oh, I can give you a sermon. I can preach the Bible and get you to the Namullah. But if I don't want you in the Namullah, just because it's some sermon. I want you to have it bursting with a flame of fire. Oh God, little hell's let loose. But raise up a standard within me. Let me praise your name this morning. Let me bring glory to your name. Let a generation see that you are God and you're able to do more abundantly than I think or ask, and you still do the impossible. Oh, I feel the spirit. Listen to David. I'm glad David wrote this. He was a man after God's own heart. Listen to what David said. I waited patiently for the Lord. You know what he was saying? I waited. I'm not going out. I can't. I'll be tossed. The nations are all running about me. I wanted to take my country out. I wanted to take my family out. I waited. Listen to. And he turned to me. Oh wow. He came. Just when I needed you most. He turned to me and he heard me. Remember the feet on the cross? Blood running in his eyes, a battered body. And he turned to him. If ever there was a time, Lord, to think about yourself. It's blood running in his eyes, out of his mouth. He's trying to breathe his last breath. He's dying for the world. And some poor soul said, remember me. And he turned to her. And he heard my cry. He lifted me up at a slimy pit. Yeah, a slimy pit. No, but it's like remember, remember, I was getting stronger. It got slimier and slimier until I was exhausted. And I couldn't forgive. And the butterness was getting a root, be aware because there's a root of butterness in you and it poisons the whole spirit. I was in a sleep, I couldn't get out. Okay, God, you won. Okay, you won. You won. Now now I know. Now I know. Out of a slimy pit, out of the mud and mire. He set my feet on a rock. Let me tell you who the rock is. Does anybody know who the rock is? Anyone got a name on mind? Anyone want to shout that name out? I said, do you want to shout it out? What a rock. And he gave me a firm place to stand when the enemy came in like a flood. Paul, everywhere you go, you're gonna get beat up and you're gonna get battered. You know what he said? None of these things move me. One scripture, and then I'm gonna show you what this is for. Listen to the last, this is the last. I never give the the man with uh the scripture, but let me just read it to you. I don't want you to look for it, will you just look this way? Let me read this to Paul the Apostle later on in life, 2 Corinthians 1, 8 and 10. We do not want you to be uninformed, brothers and sisters, about the troubles we experienced in the providence of Azure. We were under great pressure, yes. I mean, if anybody had faith, right? If anybody had the favor of God on them and he's under pressure, I was like, Thank you, Lord. Sorry, Paul, but thank you. Pressure far beyond our ability to endure it, so that we despaired of life itself. Indeed, we give ourselves the sentence of death. In other words, we're not going to make this through. But this happened. If you think a man had enough, you would think it would be Paul. This happened so that we might not rely on ourselves. Wow. And here's the next part when the enemy comes in like a flood, but God who raises the dead, the floods in, and the enemies in, and the fiery darts, and everything's coming, and you're standing there and going, I've got hope in God who raises the dead. There's some people I know that have passed into the other life, pastors I know. There are those who I know who are grieving and struggling and depression, and all their strength has been took. The nations morally bankrupt and have no strength to lift themselves out. And then there's other people who I'll let you name this one, and when we've sinned against him, and the church has went out before he came in. And I've sinned against him, and I've sinned against the light, knowing what I've done. My sin has dragged me down. And the enemy in this day and age, it looks like the church is weak, though, churches failed. And God looks with this incredible mercy and this incredible love. And he says, I know you're not strong enough to pick yourself up. I'm going to send my spirit. I want you to watch with this lifeless dead bones and everything in there. I want you to watch what he does with his church as a poor side. You are thinking mercy and grace and covenant. And I'll never leave you, and have no power to get up. I have no strength to get up out of this light. And he said, I'm going to send my spirit. And I'm going to say to the enemy, this far and no more. And in every generation, he calls his spirit out. Look where the church ends up when he's got the spirit. You thought it would drown you, but it lifted you up into a higher dependency. It lifted you into a deeper worship. It lifted you in and more hungry for more of Jesus. And in this verse in Corinthians, it says this, and that's how I lift it to the end. Paul says this in verse 10. He delivered us. Has anybody been delivered? I said, has anybody been delivered before? He delivered us from such perils. And then it says that he'll deliver us again. And then it says that and he will continue. I don't like the church. You don't done it. I want to talk to you if you don't know God. And you feel I'm under the flood. You don't need to tell me I'm a sinner. I know I've sinned against God. I know I've sinned against my nation, my family, myself. I've no power to let myself up. I want to speak to you today. God loves you. If you give God your life, he'll raise you up. The God that you posted. I was overwhelmed. But that happened, so we would not rely on ourselves. But God who raises the dead. That's where we need to stay. That's where we need to love. The God who raises the dead. Come on, join the family and stay afloat. I can't promise you an easy life. Can't promise you you won't have grief. And lastly, pastors who I know who have passed into glory. And my own mother who passed into glory. On the last day, when the enemy comes in like a flood, the sky will roll back like a scroll. I'm over my time, I'll just get one more minute. The sky will roll back like a scroll. And everybody who was in the Lord or the gravestones are gonna start to shake. My mum's gonna pop out her grave. And one day we're gonna join them. And we're gonna be running this throne. And we're gonna look at the God who raises the dead in every flood we've ever come through and every battle we've ever been in, and we're gonna sing worthy, worthy, worthy is the Lamb. Hallelujah! Have you been coming out lately? Before he came in, and as we sing this song, I'll pass it back to you if we have time because we're praying for people in Ireland. I feel is it okay to give a call? Even after all that, you think I'm still up to there, and God goes, I know. Come, let me fall you again. Let go your own strength, let go of the fighting. Just come to the altar. Just lift your hands and say, Just like that, pour yourself in. I'm not fighting. Pour yourself in. I know there's people here who need that. Come to this altar right now. Grab your husband, grab your wife, grab your family, grab yourself, grab your flesh. Get down to this altar and say, God, touch me. Humble yourself under God's mighty hand and say, God, I need raised up. My prayer life needs to be put in fire again. I'm just going to give one more call and then I'm going to pass it over. If you need to get to this altar and say, raise me up. Touch my life. Fill me afresh. I'm laying down my own strength and fill me with your spirit. And come to this altar right now. And say, God, do it for me. I'm going to be quiet for a minute and I'm going to leave it between you and the Holy Spirit to come. Oh God, we need you. Revive us again. God, revive us again. Revive us again. Revive us again. In the name of Jesus, we worship you. In the name of Jesus, we worship you. Revive us again. Revive us again. Revive us again.
